The Event

In Memory of Mr Juan Carlos Barrios, Ambassador of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela in Botswana, Zimbabwe and Namibia.

The Ibero-Latin American Film Week 2018 is dedicated to the late Mr Juan Carlos, whose six year tenure was focused on strengthening the relations between his country and Africa.

He was the promoter of this cycle of films aimed at sharing the culture and history of the Ibero-Latin American region with the Namibian people.

This year's film week showcases 7 screenings from Cuba, Spain, Venezuela, Portugal, Chile, Mexico, Uruguay and Colombia, vividly depicting the vibrant colour, flavour and diversity of this region.

All are welcome to the opening ceremony and cocktail to usher in Ibero-Latin American Film Week 2018 with Habana Station (2011) by Ian Padron from Cuba at 630PM.
