We treat your personal information with the utmost care and take your privacy very seriously. We will never share your personal information with any third party without your consent. Information obtained by other PayToday users

As part of sending and requesting money from other PayToday users, the following personal information will be shared with the other users that you transact with: details of the transaction (amount, time, date, other participants), your profile picture and username).

Acquisition

PayToday or its related entities or their respective assets could be acquired by another business entity, or be merged into such an entity. Should such a merger or acquisition occur, you should expect that PayToday would share some or all of your personally identifiable information to continue serving you and other Users of our services

Maintaining your personal information

All your personal information which we collect and maintain can be viewed and/or edited by yourself at any given time. This is done to better safeguard your information. Factual errors in your personal information can be corrected by sending us a requestor to the extent possible, under “Your Profile” section inside the App. Reasonable steps will be taken to verify your identity before amending information and granting access.

Privacy Settings for your person-to-person payments and purchases on PayToday

The App allows 3 different types of Privacy settings:

  1. Participants only (Strict privacy setting): Only the people you request money from, or send money to will be aware of the transaction. None of your transactions (peer to peer and purchases) will be shown on any section of the Feed.
  2. Friends only (Moderate privacy setting): Transactions will only be shared with your friends. Your transactions (peer to peer and purchases) will appear under their Friends Feed. Your friends are defined by all the contacts that you have in your phone book.
  3. Everyone (Lenient privacy setting):  Transactions (peer to peer and purchases) will be shared on the Namibian and Friends Feed and will be visible to everyone.

It is important to note that the default privacy setting on creating an account is the “Participant only” setting. This can however be changed on signup, and also any time afterwards under the Profile Section in the App.

Transactions will be disclosed on the different feeds based on the strictest privacy setting chosen by either of transacting parties involved in a transaction.

Cookies

When you login to the PayToday App or access the Today website, we may transfer small data files called “cookies” to your computer or login device. We purely use these “cookies” to improve your user experience and you are free to decline these “cookies” if your browser permits this.

Changes to the privacy policy

The PayToday App will be regularly updated to improve the overall user experience and add additional features. This might result in us having to make changes to the terms of our Privacy policy. Any changes will be posted here so that there is always a transparency regarding information collection and use and the choices our users have relating to this.
