Windhoek Fashion Week is a 4 day event which looks to showcase designers across the African continent alongside home grown Namibian designers comprising of: emerging designers, student designers, and established seasoned designers.

Furthermore the platform will incorporate jewellery makers, sandal/shoe makers, make-up artists and many fashion industry enthusiasts.

There has never been a fashion week in Namibia since independence. Windhoek Fashion Week promises to be the biggest runway event in Namibia - "the mother of all fashion shows".

The Abryanz Style & Fashion Awards, which take place annually in Uganda, have gone continental by incorporating African fashion enthusiasts at large. This year the organizers have decided to launch the awards in Namibia since there are Namibian nominees who will fly to Uganda in December for the official awards ceremony to see if they've won within their category.

The Abryanz Style & Fashion Awards launch will take place on day 2 of Windhoek Fashion Week. Nominees from across Africa, and especially SADC, are dubbed to attend the launch.

Windhoek Fashion Week will see as many as 25 designers showcasing their latest collections to the general public.
